it is the most asinine, shallow, ridiculous thing to come out of internet identity politics and demonstrates a serious lack of understanding of how sexuality and relationships actually work in the real world, especially for women

As someone said this weekend, if there can be 5,000 cereal brands, why not sexual identity? And c’mon, “feministhistorian,” you can’t understand feminism (or at least well enough to call yourself a historian, should have a holistic understanding) without contemplating that gender is a spectrum. So is sexuality. Respect demisexuals.
